Nakamura Gakuryo
明治23(1890)静岡~昭和44(1969)神奈川 日本画家。本名恒吉。幼少より、江戸琳派の野沢提雨、続いて土佐派の川辺御楯に師事した後、東京美術学校(現:東京芸術大学)に入学。伝統的な大和絵の技法に近代西欧絵画の描法を取り入れ、情緒・格式・理論が調和する独特の世界を拓く。毎日芸術大賞、朝日文化賞受賞。文化勲章受章。日展顧問、帝国芸術院会員、文化功労者。
