We handle Japanese art of every kind, from hanging scrolls to Western-style painting and ukiyo-e prints. What appears on this site and in our catalogues is only a part of our stock, so please do ask if you are looking for something in particular. If we do not have it, we can look for it on your behalf.

You can order from the website or from our catalogues. Look for the one work that is yours — something a museum cannot give you.

We publish catalogues regularly. They include works not shown on this site — nihonga, Western-style painting, calligraphy, crafts — printed to a quality worth keeping.

2. Enquire

Click the enquiry button on the page of the work, fill in your details and send it to us. You are equally welcome to telephone or email; please tell us the stock number, the artist and the title.

3. We get back to you

A member of staff will reply by email or telephone. We will describe the condition of the work, and ask how you would like to pay and when you would like it delivered.

4. Payment

We accept credit cards, bank transfer, and cash on delivery (up to ¥300,000). Payment by instalments is also possible — please ask.

5. Delivery

Delivery within Japan is free of charge, by Sagawa Express or Yamato Transport, or by hand from a member of our staff. For delivery overseas we charge the actual shipping cost.
