Chen Pei-Yi completed a master degree of Fine Arts, Donghai University and B.S degree at Department of Visual Arts Education, National Pingtung University. Ikenaga Yasunari has been paid attention to her who paints cats with the style of Japanese paintings. Especially her recent works of cats and carpets with amazing minute brushwork become very popular in Taiwan.

Born in Guangdong Province, China, in 1994. Enrolled in the doctoral programme at Tokyo Zokei University (2022–2026), and from 2026 a teaching assistant in its sculpture department. She began exhibiting as a sculptor from a base in Japan in 2021. Working mainly in wood, she faces the material directly without preparatory drawings, taking figures and animals as her motifs. She currently works chiefly in Japan, Taiwan and China.
