Tokuoka Shinsen
明治29(1896)京都～昭和47(1972)京都　日本画家。竹内栖鳳に師事。京都市立絵画専門学校（現：京都市立芸術大学）卒業。京都市立美術工芸学校（現：京都市立芸術大学）教諭、日本女子美術学校教授を経て、制作に専念。写実を基礎に独自の幽玄美を作り上げ、近代日本画に新たな風を吹き入れた。日本芸術院会員、文化勲章受章。
