私どもの新しい画廊であるGALLERY SCENAの企画を考えたとき、もっともやりたいと思った企画のひとつが村上仁美と沖綾乃との二人展であった。

いわゆる美人画家、と呼ばれる画家のなかで、今いちばん私が将来を期待しているのが沖綾乃です。ご本人は少し控えめな雰囲気を湛えて言葉数は多くないのですが、秘めたる大きな情熱を持っているように思われます。

We call her “The best cats’ painter in the East”. The characteristics of her works is letting go of the definition or stereotype that cats are just cute. She lives with cats together and paints as they are.

九千房さんはまず謎のアーティスト「masa」さんとして私達の前に立ち現れた。もともと、私達で扱う方向になっていた人形作家　daikichiさんが、ネット上で、どうにも気になる造形の人がいる、として教えてもらったのだ。

2022/03/11より開催アートされるアートフェア東京2022では、秋華洞がおすすめする7人の作家の作品を展示する。
まず一人目は、九千房政光。彼は美術教員として活躍していたが、2018年1月から突如、制作を始めたという異例の経歴である。その作品は、現代女性の仏像という、ありそうでなかったモチーフである。女性の顔が実在の俳優に見え、しかも見る人によって想起する俳優が違う。そういった見る楽しさが人々の眼を引きつけてSNSでも非常に話題になった。

2021年7月2日（金）より 昔話をテーマにした7名の作家によるグループ展「むかしむかし、あるところに…」がはじまります。
伝説の霊獣から、浦島太郎、番町皿屋敷、はたまたアンデルセンやグリム童話などをベースにそれぞれの作家が独自の表現を展開しています。
大人になった今、かつて親しんだ昔話はどのように表現されるのか、物語を思い浮かべながらご鑑賞ください。

油彩画家、日本画家、人形作家、写真家が表現するかつてない異色の4人展。

「美人画づくし 参」刊行記念展の展示作家をご紹介します。

沖 綾乃（おき・あやの）

岡本東子は変わりゆく日本画、美術業界、そして社会の中で女達を描き続けた。私達は彼女のそばで見守り、励まし、新しいなにかが生まれてくるのを待った。幽霊画などに彼女は新境地を見せた。光と影の中で立体的に描かれる21世紀型日本画とも言うべき女性像という技法を手がかかりに彼女は人間の真実を求めようとしてきたと思う。

平面作品が持っている、ある種の錯覚や歪みのような空間性は、現実とのズレとして私たちの感覚を再認識させ、また、新しい景色や感覚へのイマジネーションをも膨らませてくれるように感じています。

柿沼宏樹の世界の主たるものは、パノラミックワールドである。大画面に、宇宙人と地球人、そして鳩や鶏などの動物たちがひしめく。そこに何故かゴジラよろしく大怪獣がしばしば街を破壊して回る。

Ikenaga Yasunari is a Japanese leading bijinga painter.　Shukado is interviewing with him about his history and future.

Q: What did made you decide to be a painter?
A1: I never have thought I want to become painter. Just I realized I had been born to be a painter when I was 3 years old at the same time of the self-awareness.

Di Qing was born in China　mainland and through Taiwan moved to settle down in Japan. She is the second artist after Chen Pei-Yi ( well-known artist for cats paintings) who engaged with our gallery.

It is only natural that we feel like to paint if there is a beauty before us. In fact, in the context of modern art, it is not an easy task to paint beauty to promote art scene and directing it to a kind of tendency.
In spite of this fact, Ikenaga has acquired not a small number of followers and Otake Ayana is definitely one of influential players.

Last year, the painting of yurei (ghost painting) titled "Darkness" by Toko Okamoto had a powerful spotlight in the "Exhibition of Memento Mori" from the collection of novelist,Ichi Orihara held by Vanilla Gallery in Ginza.

Mr. Orihara kindly contributed an essay titled "Smile of Death-wonders on one painting" to the column of two pages spread on the January issue 2019 of ART Collectors'.

Toko Okamoto has been an escort runner of Yasunari Ikenagawho has led a trend of “beauty painting”. The females she depicts are swaying between hope and despair and her painting figuresas painted by a female artist acquired the sympathy of many people. However, I cannot say yes or no whether the females depicted by her deserve beauty painting or not.

He is conspicuous among many artists who are inward oriented. But his dandyism lies in his attitude or behavior, just simple and straightforward.

The relationship has begun since I just happened to buy his work, “still-life”. To put on his work on our catalog we have contacted him. Originally it was exhibited in the bath room of the hotel art fair. I was not a little interested in his singular images of buttock which radiated some strange charm.As I mainly handle Japanese traditional silk painting, I felt some kind of hesitation to western oil painting. It seems to me that he feels a bit cramped and wants more freedom of expression, as the ordinary exhibitions are obliged to conform to the decorum of the society and evade eroticism to some extent . However, Shukado is handling “Japanese Shunga”(erotic art) and I thought this is in the same line with our trade. So, I said to myself “Why not? We should approach him and cooperate each other for freer expression”. Thus began our relationship.

As if the genre “cat” was established in the world of painting, pictures of cats are produced one after another in the world. There are plenty of cute pictures of cats. Among them, a Taiwanese painter, Chen Pei-Yi’s cats are really alive.

For us, Okamoto Toko is an artist Ikenaga Yasunari found. Ikenaga was looking for a “fellow” of a painter who painted a so-called beautiful women painting, like him. Then it was her name that he occasionally mentioned as a mysterious painter whose contact information was unknown. Her works found on the web site had a charm that took off with unfathomable fever and did not diverge our eyes. After many long years of search, we met with the chance and started exhibiting with us.

Ikenaga is the contemporary painter we have first worked with.
When I met for the first time, he drawed only women with almost self-taught.

Japanese-style painter Okamoto Toko will have a solo exhibition in coming October. She also plans to show a large piece in Art Taipei in November. People are getting to pay attention to her amazing works.
