Yasunari Ikenaga
Born in 1965 in Oita prefecture and graduated from the Midorigaoka High School (attached to the Oita Prefectural College of Arts and Culture). Painted on his own dyed linen canvas, his "bijinga (Portraits/ prints of beautiful women)" provide a sophisticated texture and taste. His first art book in 2014 is a long-seller and his works are also published as prints, calendars and coloring books. Even in foreign countries, his works are popular as design of stationeries and novels.
Toko Okamoto
Born in Kyoto and earned a MFA degree in Japanese Style Painting from the Tokyo University of the Arts, Okamoto Toko is a Japanese painter who looks straight at the essence of what she is painting, especially the delicacy of women depicted with refinement as if you could feel the temperature, humidity and the air rising from the surface of the work, a mysterious world created by her great artistic senses. It is hard not to be captivated by her intense and amazing works.
Ayana Otake
Born in Saitama prefecture in 1981. Graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts, PhD. in Japanese Paintings
Conspicuous trait of Japanese painting is to depict the object with subtle lines.
Today, Otake Ayana may be second to none who has full command at using the brush to draw the subtle line.
With much scruple yet much ease she deftly manipulate this line to depict the voluptuous grace of the beauty.
The most suitable way of depicting the womanliness lies in the subtle line of the technique of Japanese painting. Her works demonstrate clearly this fact and are still going to develop for aging.
Ayano Oki
The world of Ayano Oki emerged alongside the genre known as bijinga, and it draws us towards a deeply erotic gaze.

Painted in colour laid on as roughly as spilled coffee, her women receive men at the edge of the senses, and they throw their gaze back out at us from the other side of the picture, wanting something deeper and stronger.

In a Japanese figure-painting scene that goes on rendering the surface of women with hard skin, the fierceness she keeps hidden is singular.

Her painterly view — never letting go of sensuality, of human existence, or of an affection for and a questioning of the being of things themselves — produces a tension that only art can hold. She might be called a Japanese Egon Schiele, yet her sensuality lacks Schiele's European compulsion; it seems instead to point towards a very Japanese, optimistic longing for happiness.
Arisa Yamamoto
Born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1992. Completed the MA course in nihonga, department of painting, at Kanazawa College of Art. Holding to the techniques and the expression of traditional Japanese painting, she draws figures of a contemporary cast, full of transparency. Collectors have responded to her soft, many-layered colour and to the composed expressions of her women. Her work has drawn wide attention, including the cover artwork for Takashi Matsumoto's tribute album "Kazemachi ni Tsuretette!".
Kao Tzu-ting
She was born in Taipei in 1992. Her genre is modern Japanese style beauty painting through the professional study of Uemura Shoen.

Taking the ancient events and the ghost stories as motives she cultivates the genre of transparent beauty painting in modern age based on the technique of Japanese painting.

Her profound thought and respect on the history of Japan and Taiwan makes her works prominent and powerful.
