Sugiyama Yasushi (1909-1993) was a Japanese-style-painter from Tokyo, who learned from Koizumi Katsuji and others. Besides in Nitten, he showed a lot of paintings in Rusogasya, a painters’ group, formed by him and some partners. Depicted Egyptian landscapes and nude with an intellective touch.
