Kodama Kibo (1898-1971) was a Japanese-style painter who studied under Kawai Gyokudo. He was repeatedly awarded at Teiten and Bunten exhibitions, and later he established Nichigetsusha club along with Ito Shinsui. Based on the study of wide range of Japanese painting styles, he depicted broad subjects with his unique modern sense of color.
