1-1: When we collect it
Shukado Co., Ltd. collects information that identifies an individual — name, address, telephone number and email address — when you enquire about or order a work, request a catalogue, or contact us with a question.
1-2: Personal information when you place an order
So that shipping and payment are handled without error, we collect the following when we accept an order through this website, by telephone, email or fax:
・Name
・Email
・Address
・Telephone number
If you do not have an email address, please order by telephone or fax.
1-3: Where the details registered are wrong
If you register an incorrect email address, postal address or telephone number, and as a result our despatch notice or an important message does not reach you and delivery is affected, we cannot accept liability.
1-4: Information collected through replies to our newsletter
We may obtain personal information through a reply to our newsletter, or in the course of a purchase or enquiry. We never put it to any secondary use without permission.
With your permission, we may publish your impressions or comments on the website or in the newsletter. In that case we do not publish anything that identifies you personally. We publish only where we have confirmed your wishes and you have agreed.
2-1: Purpose
Shukado Co., Ltd. uses the personal information it collects in order to serve you as well as possible. We never disclose or provide the information in our care to any third party other than those disclosed in advance, for any other purpose, without your permission. We may use personal information where the aim is to improve our service by compiling access statistics; in that case only aggregate figures are used, and nothing that identifies an individual. Nor do we supplement the information we collect with information from other sources.
2-2: How you may order or enquire, and how we respond
Besides the purchase-enquiry form, the general enquiry form and email, we accept orders and enquiries by telephone, by fax, and in person at the gallery.
We reply to forms and email by email, to faxes by fax, and to telephone calls by telephone. Because buying a work of art calls for a detailed understanding of what you are looking for, we may telephone you. We may also visit your home or place of work to deliver a work or to let you examine it. If a telephone call or a visit from us would be inconvenient, please tell us and we will make other arrangements.
3-1: Access and disclosure
Shukado Co., Ltd. owns the information collected on this site. Only four people — two directors and two members of staff — have control of customer information. No one else has access to it.
When we ask a courier or shipping company to make a delivery, we may pass on the minimum needed to deliver: your address, telephone number and name. We have contracts with these companies that include confidentiality and the proper supervision of subcontractors.
We never sell, share or lend this information to any other company or person in any manner other than that set out in this privacy statement.
3-2: Disclosure to authorities empowered by law
As a rule this website does not disclose personal information to a third party without your permission. Where a request is made by the national government, a local authority, a court, the police or another body empowered by law or ordinance, we may disclose information in response without your permission.
