Asai Kanemon
Asai Kanemon (1901-1983) was a Western-style-painter from Osaka. After learned at Hongo Yoga Kenkyujo, he won a prize at Nikaten Exhibition. After the war, he founded Shinjukai Art Group along with Okochi Nobuhiro and Suda Kokuta. He is known as an unusual painter who rarely had held a solo exhibition despite having a unique painting style in multicolor.
