A Work by Ayana Otake Has Become Cosmetics Packaging

A painting by Ayana Otake has been chosen for the packaging of the holiday collection of Clé de Peau Beauté, Shiseido’s high-prestige brand (theme: “KIMONO DREAM”, on sale nationwide in limited quantities from 21 October 2019).

The packaging
The sleeve carries an obi pattern, and the case takes its idea from the tatō in which a kimono is wrapped. Inside the case is a woman in a beautiful kimono. As the layered, richly worked design opens one layer at a time, the inner beauty each item expresses seems to come into flower.
