“Kōsen” and “Taisei”, mensō brushes developed jointly by the painter Yasunari Ikenaga and the brush maker Namura Taiseidō, are now on sale.

“Kōsen” is a mensō brush made from nylon fibre that wears naturally, like animal hair. The tip keeps its shape with use, and the sharpness of the line is preserved.

“Taisei” uses a supple, absorbent high-performance nylon fibre, finished with a thicker, rounded tip. Besides line work, it handles fine drawing and colouring.
