The odd old men she paints are neither demons nor immortals; if anything, she says, they are her ideal human beings. We hope you will see this strange and abundant world of hers for yourself.

「明暗双双」とは禅語。表と裏、差別と平等、創造と破壊など、二項対立が一体となる境地を言う。
服部はいう。
一見対立する二つの要素が実は両方、必要なのだ。日本にも、世界にも。
