Shimazaki Ryuu (1865-1937) was a Japanese-style painter from Tokyo. He initially learned the Western-style painting, but converted to the Japanese-style to learn under Matsumoto Fuko and Kawabata Gyokusho. His signature artwork is the Beauty.
