Takuma Kamine
Fundamental basis of Japanese culture is indigenous nature worship as well as Buddhism imported from India via China. From ancient times, Japanese accepted various “gods” reigning over universe without notion of one God.

After the war, what captured the heart of children were robot animation like Gandam or Evangelion. Japanese children like robot heroes very much as a symbol of justice, so to speak, virtue rewarded, vice punished.
His works are embodiments of a metaphor expressing modern Japan and old and new Japanese cultures.

For example, the “face” represented by real animal bones is an evidence of his pursuit on the subject of what means Japanese.

Di Qing
Works of Di Qing drawn with black ink and Asian pigments on silk screen comingle classical style with modernism, historical phantasmagoric imagery with mundane still life images of strawberries or fish, that is to say, mixture of reality and fantasy.
Her story of travelling imaginary nobles continues on and on sprinkled with humor like a merry-go-round without knowing when it started or will end and changes the stage one after another.
In the turmoil of modern art, as one of Chinese artists, she utilizes classical technique and builds up boldly her own world and challenges enthusiastically against world art scenes, yet she stands aloof in her serene spirituality.
She herself has been traveling through China, Taiwan, and Japan and now Europe, updating her experience and world.

Hattori Shihori
Born in Kyoto and completed a master degree in Japanese Style Painting from the Kyoto City University of Arts in 2013. "The Essence of Eastern Painting is the line." She explores the paradise hidden in this word. It is her trust that realizes the moment when the line is no longer an element, that embodies the independent beauty, that becomes free in a true sense, and that enriches her and others' hearts.
