Born and currently resides in Kyoto in 1987. Influenced by his father, a ceramic artist, he was exposed to making things from an early age. He began creating creative works when he was a university student, and became a full-fledged artist after graduating from university in March 2011. He expresses funny, sad, and cute animals in wood carvings and paintings.

Calligrapher and artist, born in 1969 in Hiroshima, where he currently resides. After working on the catalogue raisonné of Yuichi Inoue, he held his first solo exhibition, Machine, in 2015. His publications include Fune (2016) and Moving Trees (2024). Recent exhibitions include Naming The World (2024) and Letters and Space (tentative title) (2025). In 2024, he participated in Kiaf SEOUL with Yumiko Chiba Associates. His work is in the collection of Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts.

1962年兵庫県淡路島生まれ。高野山真言宗の寺院に育ち、幼少より書に親しむ。大学卒業後、書家・篆刻家の梅舒適に師事。神戸の海文堂ギャラリーでの個展を機に現代美術の影響を受け、森田子龍や井上有一ら前衛書の精神に共鳴。現在は中央書壇を離れ、現代アートの文脈で「書」の新たな表現を追求している。

Born in 1965 in Oita prefecture and graduated from the Midorigaoka High School (attached to the Oita Prefectural College of Arts and Culture). Painted on his own dyed linen canvas, his "bijinga (Portraits/ prints of beautiful women)" provide a sophisticated texture and taste. His first art book in 2014 is a long-seller and his works are also published as prints, calendars and coloring books. Even in foreign countries, his works are popular as design of stationeries and novels.

Born in Kyoto and earned a MFA degree in Japanese Style Painting from the Tokyo University of the Arts. Okamoto Toko is a Japanese painter who looks straight at the essence of what she is painting, especially the delicacy of women depicted with refinement as if you could feel the temperature, humidity and the air rising from the surface of the work, a mysterious world created by her great artistic senses. It is hard not to be captivated by her intense and amazing works.

Based on the study of Spain's realistic paintings, he depicts the "existence" hidden in daily life. His attitude of seeing everything, including life and death, gives universal beauty to his work. His work tells us that the beauty and the value of life are in our lives.

Chen Pei-Yi completed a master degree of Fine Arts, Donghai University and B.S degree at Department of Visual Arts Education, National Pingtung University. Ikenaga Yasunari has been paid attention to her who paints cats with the style of Japanese paintings. Especially her recent works of cats and carpets with amazing minute brushwork become very popular in Taiwan.

Kusenbou Masamitsu was born in Hokkaido in 1974. Graduated from the Graduate School of Education, Hokkaido University of Education. He is now an active art teacher in the middle school. Beside work he has begun to make buddhas figures which absorbed huge attention among public thru twitters and other SNS. In 2019, he got “Grand Prix” of “Hakodate, Winter, Art Exhibition Awards”.
We could say that Buddha figures made so exquisitely could be ascribed to idealistic symbol of female figures. His sculptures are neither like realistic buddhas figures nor real female figures. They express just universal beauty and holiness.

Generally, art works attempt to depict “something” within a frame which is relevant to the “reality” or “conception” in the outer world of a frame. In Yoshida’s case, her interest lies in Japanese old customs mirroring our ancestors’ attitudes towards the problems; how to cope with life and death. Her arts are produced out of journalistic coverage. On one hand, her expression is light and nimble with kitsch appearance. Since 2017, daikichi has been working and presenting his works of dolls in Fujian Province, China. He is quite peculiar from what you imagine about an artist in general. It seems that his gem-like figurines of pretty girls led him to be a real artist.

In fact, his first stage of publicizing his works was in the world of figures. There are huge markets of fetishism both in Japan and China attracting many young devotees, with many examples of unwitting quoting from anime and manga in consequence.

However, he is far from quotations from other works and conspicuous among another artistic representation. We notice in his works the beautiful mind of an artist of no name distinctly apart from stereotype beauty. His figurines represent realism of its own in making of fingertips, legs, eyes, lips, teeth and even gums. All of them charm us with bewitching beauty. After the war, what captured the heart of children were robot animation like Gandam or Evangelion. Japanese children like robot heroes very much as a symbol of justice, so to speak, virtue rewarded, vice punished.

Today, genres are meaningless upon the horizon of art. Ever since photography appeared on the scene 200 years ago, artists have continuously questioned the purpose of their own existence. Photographer and web designer Erika Kusumi is a logical and clever photography artist. Traditionally, collages are made by cutting out images from magazines and the like, but she uses material she has photographed herself and delivers calculated, unified, and remarkable images that defy visual expectations. When examined in detail, her collages which are clearly influenced by surrealism are scattered with familiar buildings and roads; futuristic and nostalgic all at once, they beckon one to the edge of a sensation of intoxication. Idealism toward “destruction” of the human body and landscapes crosses with the maternal instinct of “rebirth”, and the result effortlessly goes beyond simply provoking surprise.

She was born in Taipei in 1992. Her genre is modern Japanese style beauty painting through the professional study of Uemura Shoen.

Ai Chuda was born in Osaka in 1981. After leaving Doshisha University's Faculty of Letters, Department of Cultural Studies, Aesthetics and Art Studies in 2000, she completed a master's degree in Art Expression at Kyoto University of Art and Design in 2007. He received the Chaos Prize and the Dean's Prize at the graduation exhibition, and the Shinsei Prize at the 11th Open Call Shinsei Exhibition in the same year. He has since received numerous awards, including the Excellence Prize at the Kyoto Japanese Painting New Exhibition in 2010 and the Heiwado Foundation New Artist Encouragement Prize in 2012.
Chuda's works are characterized by an expression that seems to dig up the figures lurking in the depths of the picture plane, and they move the viewer deeply. In her portraits in particular, she delicately depicts the mysterious side of life and the essence of eternal life, while also capturing the ephemerality and brilliance that resides in a single moment of everyday life. Her works are imbued with universal themes that transcend time and space, and have a powerful resonance within the viewer. Her unique perspective and expressive power are highly regarded, and her works leave a deep aftertaste in the viewer.
Ai Chuda is one of the artists who continues to create new value in contemporary painting with her unique perspective and solid technique.

MASARU OZAKI was born in 1972 and is a top runner in the activities in projection mapping. He participated in the space producing of Japan Pavilion in Shanghai international exhibition in 2010.
Recently he started to produce artistic works of strong individuality,” sculptures of light”, which is consisted of three-dimensional light, different from sculpture or illumination.
Looking at his works we feel like a kind of hallucinations, yet, on the other hand, remind us of serene natural emotions viewing at his staging of sunlight and dripping water.
At a first glance, his direction of light is like of CG, but was really accomplished through the minute handy working.
In the context of technical media art, OZAKI is opening a new page of art genre, groping for the magic or philosophy in the name of nature with his own hands.

Born in Nagano Prefecture in 1993, finished the painting course of the Master's Program in Kyoto University of Art and Design in 2017. Lives in Kyoto.
She is trying to visualize abstract concepts with paintings with complex layers such as acrylic paint and silk screen and a three-dimensional effect. The expression that gives the illusion of the relationship between the ground and the figure, and the matiere whose unevenness is emphasized by spraying, create a cognitive gap between the viewer's visual perception and reality.

Hitomi Endo was born in Saitama Prefecture in 1990 and graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Tokyo Zokei University in 2019. In the same year, she received the Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Fine Art Foundation Prize at the 33rd Nitten Exhibition. She continued to gain recognition, winning the Tokyo Slider Award at the 16th International Painting Award in 2020 and being selected for the FACE 2021 Exhibition.
In 2022, Endo won the Grand Prize at the 10th Monthly Art Newcomer Award “Debut 2022.” This achievement led to her solo exhibition, Even Today, Horses Dream, held in Tokyo. That same year, her work was also selected for the Idemitsu Art Award 2022, captivating viewers and garnering widespread attention. In 2023, she further solidified her presence in the contemporary Japanese art scene, receiving awards at the FACE 2023 Exhibition and our muni Art Award 2023. Her artistic vision continues to evolve, bringing fresh perspectives to the art world.
Endo's work stands out for its unique approach, using landscapes as a medium to illuminate the depths of her inner self. Her pieces are characterized by a blend of fantastical and fresh presence, supported by delicate color sensibilities and intricate layered structures. These elements create a rhythm and luminosity that invite viewers into new dimensions, leaving a profound resonance that lingers within. Beyond her achievements in painting, Endo actively explores sculptural works, consistently pushing the boundaries of her artistic expression and discovering new horizons.
